On 17 August 2026, ITV News and BBC News reported on the funeral and remembrance service for Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler in Swansea. She died the previous month at the age of 75. Both channels noted her international fame, including her hit 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' and her status as the first Welsh artist to have a number one single in the United States, for which she received a Grammy nomination. ITV News provided additional details about her final months, stating that her health deteriorated after she was placed into an induced coma in May, and that she died in July after being treated in a hospital in Portugal.
