What was reported
A plain summary of this topic, built from the channels that covered it.
Both ITV News and BBC News reported that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is in talks to appear in Guy Ritchie's Netflix series 'The Gentlemen'. This would be her first major acting role since marrying Prince Harry. The reports linked this potential role to the couple's planned return to the UK, with ITV describing it as a major factor in their decision. BBC noted that the series was filmed in the Cotswolds, an area where the couple might live. The coverage also referenced the couple's financial situation, specifically a legal bill from a privacy case against the Daily Mail publisher. BBC provided specific figures, including a total bill of up to 34.5 million pounds and an initial payment of 9.5 million pounds due next week. ITV mentioned the legal bill as a reason the couple may need income from future roles. BBC also mentioned Meghan's recent cameo role and appearance on MasterChef, as well as her earlier statement that she did not envision a return to acting.
