Two murder cases were reported on UK television news on 6 August 2026. In the first case, a 73-year-old farmer, Christopher Wright, was sentenced to a minimum of 35 years in prison for shooting dead his lodger, Richard Dyson, in November 2019. Wright dismembered the body, placed it in a barrel filled with concrete, and stored it on another farmer's land.
